Nashville guitarist Tyra Elliott Neftzger has combined elements of jazz, blues, and rock in his work with Lucky Munk. With over 15 years of experience composing and performing in various venues, Tyra has now created a band that embodies his unique sound as an arranger and a vocalist. The band performs new arrangements of familiar tunes as well as their own original songs. Listen below to hear a sample of their sound.

Psalmthing Blue

Psalmthing Blueby Third Inversion.

A collection of original jazz-blues instrumentals with musical influences that can be traced to Cole Porter, George Gershwin and even Frederic Chopin. The format of all the odd-numbered tracks is a traditional jazz/blues style, with variations in time signature and composition that sets each one apart from the others. Acoustic interludes connect the pieces to form a smooth transition from one musical concept into the next.

However, Django’s efforts backfire when he learns that his paws weren’t made for strumming a guitar and his natural preference is to chew drumsticks instead of beating the drums. Just when Django feels that all hope is lost he discovers his true talent and finally gains approval through being himself and doing what comes naturally for him.
